For those who are unable to access print copies of magazines (which is hugely preferable), the evolution of the interwebs has proved a great advantage, especially in terms of viewing editorials from ridiculously overpriced international magazines. I noticed that a large portion of the shoots from the most recently released Oyster Magazine, being the celebratory 100th issue, have been published and can quite easily be hunted down online. Being one of my favoured publications and the source of most of my suffering (on account of the disgustingly awesome models, styling, interviews and photography featured) I've composed this post entirely consisting of images from issue #100. The parts I find to be the most exciting include Ollie's bare/albino body, the spiderweb printed swimsuits in the photo essay, Maria Palm's stoner face and the Sashimi-Leg combination, and of course, the water cooler being used as a prop in the final high fashion 80s themed shoot.

After flooding your screen with a bunch of images from Sydney TAFE graduate and designer, Emma Muholland it has got to be clear that her work is sort of a big deal to me. Frequently worn by models such as Ollie Henderson, Zippora Seven and Rachel Rutt, Emma's collections attract the attention of those dubbed the 'coolest', and who are known for their own unique personal style. Byron Spencer, a close friend of Emma Mulholland and arguably the coolest Sydney photographer around, regularly shoots the designer's lookbooks and features her clothing on his super inspiring blog, spencernotspencer. It is no doubt evident within her designs, but Emma has confirmed her influences draw from 90s surf culture, the ocean and various landscapes. While her aesthetic is truly unique, I can't  help but compare her work to the likes of Stolen Girlfriends Club and Romance Was Born, highly successful duos who have similarly produced collections containing psychedelic prints, references to 90s culture and drawn inspiration from the underwater realm. I'm impatiently awaiting the release of her most recent collection, which I intend to blow a significant portion of my next pay on..
